cherrypeels: Today I signed up for a free trial using WGSN.com, an industry standard for trend forecasting, buying + sourcing, and business information (such as upcoming trade shows, networking features, etc.) Unfortunately, the free trials are not guaranteed and you must qualify, so I should get an email in the next few days letting me know. I am pretty sure I will be granted one, being a fashion student, however when my trial runs out I won’t be able to pay for a subscription. I think WGSN has a wealth of information to be shared with myself and my peers as we are getting ready to enter the industry as professionals. While I won’t spring for the subscription right now, when I graduate I fully intend on joining. D

Happy New School Year!

January 1st is the mark of a new calendar year. Spring is the traditional season of re-birth. But to me, Fall has always marked a new beginning. After the heat and humidity of summer, the warm days of Indian summer and the cooler evenings give me the chance to breathe and enjoy. While Nature is preparing for hibernation, I am welcoming the new school year filled with meeting new students, sharing new knowledge, clearing out the old and bringing in the new.

I am looking forward to sharing the world of Social Media with you all. It is an exciting world which involves all of us. It is a growing area and a very good fit for D&M students. You are all prepared to leverage social media into a rewarding career.
